Under the direction of the canadian artist Dr. Maria F. Farinha, Beats and Tunes provides opportunities for children and adults to learn any kind of music style: Classical, Rock, Jazz, Country, Vocal, and Musical Theater, Â but also provides the students with fantastic lessons in problem solving, team building, and the rewards of hard work while building their self esteem and confidence.
At the core of our Faculty’s teaching philosophy are the following beliefs: Each music student is unique, as shown by strengths, preferences and innate abilities. Creative learning and thinking is promoted by our teachers in order for the students to reach their highest musical and intellectual potential in a fun way, that has a trickle-down positive effect into other areas of their lives.
Instruction here is delivered by highly qualified and experienced teachers in piano, voice, guitar (acoustic and electric), drums, violin, cello, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet and trombone.
