It is the mission of Beats & Tunes School of Music to provide quality education in music to children and adults of Central Florida, in an environment that promotes achievement and creativity offering to all who attend, regardless of artistic ability, the opportunity to carry out their own personal evolution and dreams, enriching the quality of their lives.
Under the direction of Canadian Artist Dr. Maria F. Farinha, Beats & Tunes School of Music provides opportunities for kids and adults to learn any kind of music style, but also provides the students with fantastic lessons in problem solving, team building, and the rewards of hard work while building their self esteem and confidence. Instruction here is delivered by highly qualified and experienced teachers in piano, voice, guitar (acoustic and electric), bass, drums, violin, viola, saxophone, flute, clarinet, ukulele, and banjo.

1. DO YOU OFFER LESSONS TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS TOO?
Yes, we teach students from ages four to adults. Our teachers are able to meet the music educational needs of students of all ages and levels of proficiency (beginner-advanced).
2.WHAT STYLES AND GENRES OF MUSIC DOES BEATS AND TUNES TEACH?
We teach all genres from Classical, Rock, Jazz, Country, Pop, R & B, Latin, Blues, and more.
3. DOES BEATS AND TUNES PROVIDE INSTRUMENTS?
Beats and Tunes is furnished with upright pianos, amplifiers (for guitar and bass) , P.As and monitors, and drums sets. These are the only instruments that a student does not need to bring to their weekly lessons. For the trial lesson we do have guitars, ukulele, violin, bass, and a flute. All students are required to purchase or rent a beginner instrument to practice on at home.
4. HOW LONG IS THE DURATION OF EACH LESSON?
45-minute Weekly Lessons, 60-minute Weekly Lessons.
5. WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DOES BEATS AND TUNES ACCEPT?
We accepts cash, check, Credit Cards (Amex, Visa, Mastercard, & Discover) & Debit Cards.
6. WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR LESSONS?
Upon registering, you will be billed for the one time registration fee and for the number of our minimum required lessons, “Four.” When you renew your lessons, you will have to pay for the next 4 lessons (the next month lessons) on your 4th lesson of the previous month.
7. DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT OR LONG-TERM AGREEMENT?
Beats and Tunes does not require semester or year minimums for lessons. But if you want to save money we do have discounts for yearly payments and for 6 months as well.
8. CAN I GET STARTED IMMEDIATELY?
Stop by during normal teaching hours (Monday-Thursday 1:00 p.m. -9 p.m. on Fridays 2:00 pm- 7:00 pm and Saturdays 11:00 am-3:30 pm) and speak with the front desk person to determine when, where, and from which instructor you would like to begin learning! Call us now at 407 636-9855
9. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS DURING MY NORMAL LESSON TIME, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Beats and Tunes has an official make-up policy. They are limited to one class per month. With that said, if you will miss your lesson and have the ability to call the school ahead of time (ASAP), no later than 8:00 pm on the day prior to the lessons, make-up lessons will be provided according to schedule availability. Absolutely no make-ups will be given for no call, no shows. Our instructors are highly trained and we respect their time and dedication to you/your child. Please offer your consideration when planned absences or emergencies arise. Missed lessons must be made up within the month of cancellation. Missed makeup lesson will not be re-scheduled. Students who are late for a lesson will not be guaranteed their full lesson time. We do guarantee the full lesson time if the teacher is late.
10. WHAT IS THE SUPERVISION POLICY?
During lessons with young children (students under 16), at least one adult (18+) has to accompany the child and deliver her/him to the teacher inside the room. The school will not be responsible for your children before and after the lessons. Teachers will not accompany the students to the parking lot. There will be no exceptions to this policy, which applies to all Beats and Tunes’s lessons and classes.
11. WHAT IS “THE BAND PROGRAM”?
Beats and Tunes hosts rock, Blues, and country bands that will meet weekly (After Summer 2017). These are designed for students to play songs they enjoy together and have fun! Beginners will start taking private lessons before joining a band to learn the basics, and to become comfortable playing with other students.
